Some girls i know have said if they get pregnant its fine. maybe it will be ok if u have a good family unit but not everyone has that. I speak from personal exspeirences. why cant girls stay girls? girls are growing up too fast these days. im only sixteen im different to the girls in my class they all cant wait to have babies. six girls in my year have got babies. i wish girls would realize a baby is not a fashion statment.

Okay so I was 17 years old and i was pregnet. My parents were very mad and i was kicked out of the house. My little red headed girl was a still born. A few years later i got married and found out i was again pregnet and i gave birth to a beautiful redheaded girl yet again and today she is healthy and 4 years old!!! Julia F.

Hey I was 17 when I found out I was expecting my first baby. I came from an extremely strict home and my parents were so distraught and dissapointed. My mom even kicked me out the house. I was already in a (live on campus) trade school in upstate ny she said I was not welcomed back home. I went to better myself and to be independent away from my strict parents. After 6 months of me starting I met a guy. We dated until my 18th bday. Then I found out I was preggo 2 months later. I was afraid bexause I had only knew this guy for less than a year and I wasn't finished in school. I didn't belive in abortions and I felt so scred and lonely. After I told my bf he was happy and he was there every step of the way for me. My mom eventually got over the anger and accepted her granchild. I felt so happy to have support from my family and the babys father. I graduated and became crtified in medical office support and now I'm enrolled in school at the university of NYC getting my (certified nursing assistant liscense. I had a beautiful baby girl (Bethany Lynn) on August 26. And me and her father are going on 3 years together and engaged. Leeann M.

My name is mariah and i am 16 years old.I am about 4 months pregnant, and although I was extremely dissapointed in myself when I found out I was pregnant i've decided to keep my baby. Adoption is a great option but sense I have tremendous family support I can make things work out. I am still currently with my boyfriend and we just got an appartment. My mother denies she'll let me move out but my house is way to small to add another baby in it. I plan to get my license sense the apartment I plan to move into is like 10 minutes out of the town I grew up in. With my license I will be able to finish high school. My plan for while i'm in school is my child will attend a day care, and I will pick her up when I get out of school. I'm graduating a year early to make sure I finish. I plan to attend college and give my baby the best possible shot at life!- Mariah

This is my story...I am [under 18] years old and pregnant with my boyfriend's baby.I went to his house one evening telling my parents (who had no idea I had a boyfriend) that I was round a friend's house. My boyfriend spiked my coke and I didn't suspect a thing when I woke up fully dressed on his sofa. It was only when I started getting pregnancy symptoms that I realised, and took three tests, all clearly positive. I told my two best friends who really supported me, then eventually went to a teacher at my school, who referred my friend and myself to a teacher with more authority. When I was asked if I was pregnant, I lied saying I thought I may be imagining things, and the teachers haven't asked me since. I'm now 2-and-a-half months pregnant and a bump is starting to show, I am constantly getting back pains and cramps in my stomach. When I told my boyfriend he said he never wanted to see me again. I was really scared, but eventually I figured that I had to tell someone who could help and give me advise. The counsellor who is helping is giving me all the different options, but I know in my heart that I have already made up my mind; I will not have an abortion. After all, this baby has done nothing wrong, and I believe that this is what God wanted or it wouldn't have happened. At first I felt very alone, too scared to tell anyone, but I see now that I needed this support. By telling you this, I want to send out the message that, should you be in a similar situation, you are not alone, there is a lot of help out there for you. I told a responsible adult, rather than trying to tackle an unwanted teenage pregnancy on my own. This will change my life, but everything happens for a reason. I hope you learn from or are inspired by my story, and know that no matter what happens, there is always a way to get through it.- Anonymous

When i was 19 and in my sophomore year at college i found out i was pregnant. When i broke the news to my loving fiance that i have been with for four years he insisted we keep him. I agreed, but when i told my mother she was devastated and believed that i had ruined everything, my good grades and dreams. She convinced me to have an abortion but i couldn't my boyfriend because he would be seriously hurt. So i went behind his back and my families telling everyone i had lost the child. Everyone was so upset i was given special treatment in everything. i wish i could go back and tell the truth. My fiance is wanting to get married but i dont know if i can because i lied about something that i shouldn't have. Tell the truth.- Anonymous

I got pregnant with my son two days before my seven[teen]th birthday to a guy named tony I just had a one night stand with. When I found out I was pregnant tony really wanted me to have a abortion at first I was for it but, are parents where not having it I was pretty upset cause I was not ready to be a mom. In the begining of my pregnancy I thought I lost the baby but, I had a ultrasound. I was having a healthy little boy and from that moment I knew I wanted to keep him. Today my son is 5 months old tony does not help me at all he sees Xavier when it is convient to him I wish it wasn't like that but, there is nothing i can really do about. I'm glad I didn't give Xavier up my mom is my biggest supportive she takes care of me and Xavier so I can finish my senior year and go away to school. I want to give my son the best life ever it's not his fault i had him young. - Autumn

My name is Stina, Im seventeen, & I'm Pregnant with my second baby! I was 14 when I got pregnant with my first born & 15 when I had her. I never knew a "childhood" or "teen life", my mother is an alchoholic & so I grew up my whole life taking care of an adult. But a curve ball came at me when I found out I was pregnant. The baby's father immidiatley gathered abortion papers, & didn't want this baby for anything! My mom was the same way... But since it was MY CHOICE, I decided to keep this baby...In the end, I had a C-section. Late November 09, My 7lb, 8oz baby girl was born (: ...So your probably wondering what happened with me & her father? Well, he is pursuing his life goal to be a Marine (Bravo), which means he is financially supporting his daughter & his parents sometimes take her for the weekend so I can get a break. & when I say "a break", I don't mean "Party"... more like SLEEPING! (; Well anyways, we moved on & don't speak. He has a girlfriend, & I am now engaged. Because I'm pregnant AGAIN (age 17) with another baby girl.... I love him very much but theres issues between us.. we aren't talking right now & idk what else to do other than worry about my girls.

Hi my name is Ciara and this is my story. I got pregnant when I was 17. I thought the world was coming down on me. I felt lost, confuse and lonely....i had my son at 22 weeks... he only weighed 1lb when he was born he was a really sick baby. My little angel Cody lived for 7months before he passed away. Dealing with all that at 17 and 18 years old was so much on me i had to bury my son while still in high school. Its been 4 yrs now since my angel passed away to be with god and im now 22yrs old soon to be 23.The thing is I never gave up on him.... God sent him to me for a reason at the time i couldnt understand it but now since im a little older im starting to understand a little more. Girls who are reading this please dont give up even though I lost my son I still graduated from high school and Im soon to be graduating from college as as registerd nurse(RN). - CIARA

well im 15 years old and mi baby is 7 months she was born on march 31 2011. her name is emirra nicole and i love her to death. having a baby at this age is very hard, especially if you are a teen and want to comtinue school like me. going to school is the best thing you can do if you are a teenage mother. some people say its to hard or its too much but its never to hard if you want to be something in life and want your child to have wht u want. so basicly what im sayen is, god gave us babys at this age because he wanted. so do your best and at this age love and cherish your child like you would do if you were grown, remember its never to hard. - Rosemary T.

Im 18 and 8 weeks pregnant. When I first found out I was 5 weeks, and to tell you the truth, I was shocked speechless and happy. I have always wanted a child of my own, but felt it would not happen. I soon just gave up because yea im young, but I had so much feeling that I would never be able to carry a child. My family has been supportive of me the whole way, and are very excited to have a little life grace their lives in April, but then there are those that are not family that think they can run over me, and thats a n.o. right there. I never thought giving up would give me a blessing to come. My boyfriend and I live together, and he has been there for me. He has always been supportive and was very happy when he found out the news. I can not waite until i find out the sex so i will be prepared. And to all expecting mothers: take care of your resposibility.... Wish me good luck!!!! - Anonymous

I am 17 & am 26 weeks pregnant. When me and my boyfriend found out we were completely shocked. I was so scared to tell my parents for fear of getting kicked out. But when i told them they were more supportive than i thought they would be. Now everyone including my family, my boyfriends family, and my boyfriend and myself, are more than happy that a wonderful baby girl is on the way. While i havent had any major complications I did being feeling braxton hicks contractions already so i have to be aware that it is possible I could end up delievering my baby earlier than expected. But overall being pregnant has made me realize alot and i know that everything i do will be for the best interest of my daughter. (:

I found out I was pregnant, at 4 1/2 months. I was scared and ashamed. When my parents found out they kicked me out!!!! Thankfully my boyfriend n I made the best decision in the world. To keep our baby n raise him the best way possible. Today, our son will be two in november. He's very spoiled but of course our greatest blessing is our son!! To any mothers in my situation, i want to say keep ur heads up we have the [best] gift in the world. Chuck1991

I am 18 and pregnant... a few months after getting married i found out i was pregnant. all my family were full with joy...i was extremely happy and so was my husband. I am 37 weeks and ready to pop LOL. My midwife said the baby had stopped growing at 8 months but all the baby's organs had been developed but the midwife says the baby is now just 17" and i could go into labour at any moment from now. So that did worry me a bit as we are a bit rushed to get everything sorted in time. Hopefully baby doesn't come till due date but if the baby comes before then then we will all be happy. The midwife also said the baby has a higher chance of being a boy than girl so my husbands dream has come true LOL. Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England

Im 16 years old and 6 1/2 months pregnant. I was shocked, nervous and scared to tell my mom that I was. Who I'm pregnant by is very supportive and he has always stuck by my side. When I Told my Mom she took it way better than I thought she would. Even though there has been alot of drama and mishaps, I strongly recommend that you teen girls think before you put your life in someone elses hands.I am not depressed, Im actually happy, because I have a family That's supporting me beyond 100 % but, its hard and very stressful. Being pregnant is beautiful , but it also is a very complicated thing. I Gonna Give My Son A Good Life Because He Didnt Ask to come into this world and Abortion or Adoption Was NEVER AN OPTION FOR ME.! :] Ashley

Everyone goes through something different. Having a baby is a huge responsibility and we just don't realize it until we are pregnant. I got pregnant when i was 16 and i had just turned 17 when i had my baby.. Good Luck!! :) Anonymous

I found out I was pregnant when i was 16 years old I had my baby when I just turned 17. I didn't imagine the huge responsibility there is to have a baby. My baby daddy was happy when he found out I was pregnant because he didn't imagine how expensive babies are. I got lucky because I had my baby in summer vacation I went back to school being a senior in high school. Luckily I graduated got my diploma and now im in college trying to get my associates degree. I just turned 18 and I am trying my best to do well in school to get a good career and provide my child with everything he needs. Brenda

Im 17 and found out i was pregnant 2 months ago, when the contraceptive pill failed me. My mum and dad are separated and told them the news separately my mum was shocked but very supportive however my dad was very angry and demanded an abortion, i ignored his orders and now im living with my mum but my boyfrined sees me evryday and comes to scans and anti natal appointments. Its hard being a pregnant teenager and i get judged a lot by older people who think i was irresponsible but at the end of the day i did nothing wrong the contraception failed and now im just looking foward to being a mum:) baby95

I was 15 when i found out i was expecting. It was a complete shock. However when i went to see the midwife at 6 weeks she said i was having twins i was happy to be a new mum but also worried at my parents thought about this. I told my mum when me and my boyfriend had decided we were going to keep the twins. Her reaction was awful she kicked me out of the house so i had to stay at my boyfriends house. When my mum finally let me back in the house she insited that i put the twins up for adoption i refused and we then went through a 9 month battle of arguements and trouble. When my twin girls were born i only had my boyfriend with me this upset my mum as she wanted to be there however i knew she wouldnt be supportive. Now i have 2 brillant girls called Sophia and Alexis. They are diamonds and i have managed to adapt to being a mum very well. My mum doesnt want anything to do with me now and she refused to let me move in with the twins so i live with my boyfriend parents who support me so much. My advice to an expecting teen is dont give up and if your mum and dad tell you to do something you dont want to do fight your corner because you will only regret otherwise. Jessica (UK)

Hi! I'm Kylie. a while back i fell in love with my boyfriend Levi. we were so in love and thought we would be together forever. until one day Levi broke up with me because his friend had told him to. then after that he told the whole school i was annoying and constantly called me bad names and yelled at me. it seemed like everyday there was a new argument. after how bad he treated me we got into an argument and he slapped me. so i was done. for good. until i found out i was pregnant. he was the only guy i slept with so i new it was his. breaking the news was crucial. he said he was not going to be there at all. except for the birth. so that left me wondering what i was gonna do. my family was supportive and so were my friends. but they didn't want me going thru this without a partner. and the fact that i was 15! i was way to young to raise a baby. so the more and more i thought about it i decided to chose adoption. our family friends had offered to be supportive and adopt my baby. it made me feel good. a stay at home mom and a loving, working dad. but it got harder whenever i found out i was having a girl. and since i got to name her, i decided on Makenna. knowing that i had a little girl i already loved growing in me made me sad. but i new it was for the best. then on march 3rd Makenna was born. it was the hardest thing id ever had to go thru. but i just kept on thinking about her, and not me. kylie joe

I am currently 15 and three days ago I found out I was pregnant. I am 2 1/2 months along and I am extremely scared. Me and my boyfriend have been together for four years now, but 3 weeks ago he went to jail. I don't want to tell my parents because I know how disappointed they will be in me. I am a straight A student and rarely get in trouble, so idk how they will react. I know I have to them soon but I don't want too. Can I have some help? Nicole

I was 17 years old when I found out I was pregnant. Now I am 19 years old and pregnant with my second child. At 17, I became pregnant with my daughter. Her father was out of the picture as soon as I told him I was pregnant with his baby. I had my daughter the week of finals and graduated on time with the rest of my senor class. Now I am in my second year of college and am 10 weeks pregnant. My mom was upset that I "let this happen again" but is being supportive. The father of this child, my boyfriend, and I will be moving in together in July so we will be ready once the baby comes in October. Caitlin

When I was 14 I had gotten pregnant. Im 16 now. I wanted to abort or give it up for adoption. But I knew I couldnt go through the emotional part. Now I have a 2 yr old babygirl named Navaeah Reinae. She is the most outgoing, cuddling thing I have ever seen. Me and the babydaddy are not together but he still pays child suppport and he see's her once a week. Lorie S.

I was 19 and about 3 weeks along in my pregnancy when I found out from having constant nausea. My due date is November 29th, 2011. I was dating my boyfriend of about 2 or 3 months....He started getting abusive towards me. Then I found out I was pregnant....When we both found out, we were so happy and were talking about starting our life with our baby. After a few weeks, he was being even more abusive and clingy and not letting me go anywhere. I had to end it for many reasons and kick him out of my place, but was heartbroken about my child.

Meanwhile, my mom was freaking out and trying to get me to choose adoption. I wanted to move back with my mom so I didn't have the expenses of rent, but my mom said if I kept my child, she would kick me out and not help me whatsoever. I still wanted to parent. Then I got kicked out of my apartment because of a noise complaint one night. I had to move back in with my mom. At that point I was about 4 months along and had decided with all the help from the government, money would still be an issue.

I decided to go to Lutheran Social Services and try to find an adoption couple for my baby. I knew I was too young to have a child and give it the care it needs. I'm still basically a child myself. At this point, I had found out I was having a baby boy. I was really sad that I couldn't keep my child. I loved him so much already. But this is the best decision for my him. I am currently still 19, am 7 months along in my pregnancy and have found a PERFECT family for my baby. I love them like my best friends, as we are like good friends. She is a 5 grade teacher and he is a lawyer. I am excited for him to be born and meet the adoption parents I have chosen for him. I will be sent pictures and get to see him a lot. The parents are really open about it. I know when he grows up he will understand the love I had for him and still do and always will have. We have not yet chosen a name for him but we are currently working on one together.

Now on another note, I thought I'd share some of my best friend Leah's story. Leah is also 19, found out she was pregnant about a week after I found out I was. She chose parenting, as she does have a better stable family. She is getting married to her boyfriend of a year. They live in their parents house. We've always thought of each other doing everything together, even having children together at the same time. It happened, but unfortunatly when we were too young. Everyone thinks it was planned or something, because we've been inseperable since middle school. It was pure coincidence. Both our children will be born in the same hospital. She is due 2 days before me, November 27th, 2011 with a baby girl named Briana. I wish her the best of luck. I hope you were inspired by my story <3 Ally M.

Hi! I'm Kylie. a while back i fell in love with my boyfriend Levi. we were so in love and thought we would be together forever. until one day Levi broke up with me because his friend had told him to. then after that he told the whole school i was annoying and constantly called me bad names and yelled at me. it seemed like everyday there was a new argument. after how bad he treated me we got into an argument and he slapped me. so i was done. for good. until i found out i was pregnant. he was the only guy i slept with so i new it was his. breaking the news was crucial. he said he was not going to be there at all. except for the birth. so that left me wondering what i was gonna do. my family was supportive and so were my friends. but they didn't want me going thru this without a partner. and the fact that i was 15! i was way to young to raise a baby. so the more and more i thought about it i decided to chose adoption. our family friends had offered to be supportive and adopt my baby. it made me feel good. a stay at home mom and a loving, working dad. but it got harder whenever i found out i was having a girl. and since i got to name her, i decided on Makenna. knowing that i had a little girl i already loved growing in me made me sad. but i new it was for the best. then on march 3rd Makenna was born. it was the hardest thing id ever had to go thru. but i just kept on thinking about her, and not me. kylie joe

Caitlin

Hi my name is Stacey cash I found out I was pregnant when i was 16, my parents tried to make me have an abortion and i was going to, but i had a very bad consience about it, i knew it was a living being and not just a cell or a "fetus" And I knew if I did I would regret it til the day i died. My parents told me that my life would be over and no more partying, and my life would be ruined. Im so glad I didnt abort my now 6 year old little boy, he is a major blessing in my life, and Im raising him right, and I know he is going to grow up and do wonderful things in this world. Yeah the partying stopped, but my life wasnt ruined and my life wasnt over, my life was inhanced the day I became a mother, yeah it was hard but parenting isnt easy for anyone, especially when you are young. All I can say is Im very very glad I made the decision i made to allow my child to live his life, cause it was the right decision. stacey cash

"I was 15 when I had my daughter, and I know how much pain and heartache comes along with teenage pregnancy. But my family was strong enough to help me through. My daughter is approaching 17 now, and I could not imagine life without her.

My mother turns 60 next year, and I was hoping to spread her inspiration and love to others as a gift to her. This is my mother's poem to me:

Happy Mother's Day to My Little Girl

I was so very proud the day you were born I had my little girl I adorned.
As you grew I realized how independent you were now.
You brought happy times and sad times.
Although I didn't realize what God had in mind.

When you were fourteen you chose
a path I would not have chosen for you.
I had dreams for your life
but your dreams were different.
You brought happy times and sad times in my life.
Although I didn't realize what God had in mind.

The doctor said you were pregnant.
I remember the tears rolling down your face that day.
Oh the sadness I felt too.
We sat at the park and you said
"Why cry over something that's already done."
I thought the dreams I had for you were gone, but they had only just begun.
You brought happy times and sad times in my life.
Although I didn't realize what God had in mind.

As the child grew within you
we shared sad times and good times.
Once you wanted it all to end and
then you couldn't wait for tomorrow.
You brought happy times and sad times in my life.
Although I didn't realize what God had in mind.

Finally the day had come
You had that little girl just like
the time I had waited for so long ago.
She was a beautiful little girl and
you shared her life with me.
You brought happy times in my life.
And now I realize what God had in mind."

"I am nineteen years old, I currently have a year left of higher education before I go on to university to take a BA in English and Drama, then a one year Post Graduate Certificate in Education to lead to my lifelong teaching career.

Two years ago I went to Spain [and] got introduced to [a family friend] and we hit it off, in February this year I went back to see my family again and hooked up with the same guy, and ended up going back out three weeks later to see him. After this we didn't really speak so much and I figured it was just a holiday fling that had ended.

He was due to move back to England to start his new job, when three days prior to this I found out I was pregnant with his child.

I asked [my mother] to tell my dad as I was too ashamed and worried about his disappointment. At this point I was shocked into wanting a termination, but after researching it I decided against it. Everyone was shocked with my decision, and my father was initially really upset. I have an open dialog with my child's dad and we intend on keeping things that way for the sake of our child. Although I am very much aware that I am going into this alone.

I have read everyone's wonderful stories of how their babies' fathers have stuck around and they are together, so maybe my story is a bit different. My child isn't born yet. I am independent, and I am determined to finish my education, become a teacher and be a fantastic mother. After all, when the going gets rough, you try harder." ~Kate J., England

"When I found out my daughter was pregnant it was a shock. I took her to the Dr. and we found out together. At the time my daughter was [not yet in high school]. I am pro-life, so my first thoughts were, we're gonna have a new addition to the family.

We lost relationships with several family members and friends because everyone either wanted me to make her have an abortion or give the baby up for adoption.

My daughter was home schooled and kept up with her studies well. On October 30th, my granddaughter, Julia was born. We can't imagine life without her. My daughter is responsible and cares well for her baby. I am also supportive of the dad as he has been there for everything.

Teachers from my daughter's school have emailed me and said she is an inspiration and role model for other students. Now when I got that, I was like WOW.

I think the reason many teenagers fail, is because many give up on them when they become pregnant. As a parent I must say, don't do that. This is not what I wanted, but God doesn't give us anymore then we can handle. My daughter takes care of her baby every night and goes to school every morning. She is more determined to become a pediatrician which has been her career choice since she was ten. I tell her all of your dreams are still possible, you just have to work a little harder, but I'm by your side every step of the way and we will do this together." ~G'ma, Dallas, USA

"When I was 15yrs old I met the boy of my dreams, he was perfect, but one problem he was nearly two years older then me, I could already hear my dad's voice in the back of my head protesting on how this boy is much to old to date his daughter.

Two months after my 16th birthday I went with my best friend to take a home pregnancy test. I remember being so nervous and scared of the result. After confirming what I feared I now feared even more telling my parents and the baby's father. I had no clue what they were going to say I didn't even know what I wanted after all I was 16 years old, just a baby myself. For the next three weeks it felt like the world was caving in on me as each day passed it became more and more scary until at last I knew I had to tell them, I couldn't hide it much longer.

I [now] have a healthy 20 month old boy. To my astonishment my whole family backed me up and even more importantly the father. I've been living at home which enabled me to finish my education and so has my fiance (my sons father of course!) who's been working to save up some money. On my 19th birthday we will be moving into an apartment of our own and a year later we plan to have our wedding.

We take everyday one step at a time but lives just never felt so good before." ~Tash, USA

"I became pregnant when I was a senior in high school. I have three beautiful girls now and the oldest is 17. I am in nursing school and we had to do a community teaching project. I chose teen pregnancy. I would like your CD and tape for my girls to view. I have really enjoyed your site -- the information was wonderful." ~Debra D., USA

"I was fourteen when i got pregnant and a freshman in high school. I was really scared to tell my parents at first i taught about an abortion, i was really scared to have one. Then i started to think if i have and abortion i would never know how he would have been and how much joy he would have brought to my life.I forgot that i was afraid to tell my parents but i had to do it cause it was my body, baby and choice and no one could stop me from having him just god.i really thank god for sending me and angel to my life he has brought alot of joy.Know i just couldn't imagine my life without him." ~Giggles, USA

"Please read my story, if you are pregnant and thinking about adoption for your baby. My husband and I could not have children. When we started thinking about adopting, I had an unforgettable dream about an adoption angel. I saw an image of a couple connected by a rainbow to a baby. The couple was in the top right corner of the image and the baby was in the bottom left area. The image faded and suddenly a magnificent angel appeared. She had a very kind face and was smiling sweetly. Her rosy, pink wings spanned the image. Above the angel was a light blue banner with "ADOPTION ANGEL" written on it. A few years later, we adopted our wonderful daughter. Wherever you are, I want you to know that you, too, have an adoption angel who will help you find the right parents to love and take care of your baby. You only need to ask for their help." ~Elizabeth, USA

"I was a senior in high school when I found out that I was pregnant. I thought my life was over, but little did I know my life was just beginning! Now my daughter is two and beautiful. I also had a baby boy who is 4 almost 5 months old. I am twenty years old and I have two of the most beautiful children in the world. I never thought that I could be a mother. It scared me to think about having kids. But now knowing what I do now I would do it all over again. I am going back to school to become a nurse in the maternity ward. I am going to show my babies that anyone can do anything their hearts desire as long as you put your mind to it. I would not trade anything I've gone through in becoming a mother for anything. My children are my life and without them I do not know where I would be today." ~Amanda, USA
